Services and Price List

Consultations for new clients are free for the first hour. Lowlande Web Design's hourly rate is $65 per hour with a two hour minimum. Services are either custom or listed at flat-fee price and include basic configuration of software and customization to fit the look and feel of the site. Customization is limited to a set number of hours per software item.

 

The basics of a site

Templates

Templates are the "skin" on your site. Sites can have any combination of templates. Popular template ideas are one template for the whole site, different templates for each section of a site, and a homepage template with a matching interior template. Templates control the look and feel of the site and include how the text, images and headers are displayed.

Creating your template begins with a one-hour custom template consultation. This "hands-on" process helps the designer and the client determine what the template should look like and what functions it should incorporate. A sample layout can be created at this consultation, allowing the client to be the "art director" of their site. The template is further refined as the site is built. Based on the one-hour consultation, a sample template will be included in the client's contract and the site will follow the direction of the sample template. The Custom Template Consultation begins at $500 and is limited to 8 hours of time involved.

For client who require a more creative approach, they may explore their options with a three-template layout process. This process is similar to the first in that an initial consultation takes place. One or more sample templates are created at this consultation and options discussed, and three sample templates are emailed to to the client as static images. One sample template is choosen by the client or parts of the three sample templates are combined into a single template. The chosen sample template will be included in the client's contract and the site will follow the direction of the sample template. The Three Template Consultation begins at $1300 and is limited to 20 hours of time involved.

Lowlande Web Design aims to help you create the site you want. The design process can be involved or it can be simple, depending on the client's chosen level of involvement. If the client is located outside the Raleigh / Durham area or unable to meet, consultations can be done over the phone at via email or the internet.
Photography / Imagery

It is often said that pictures are worth a thousand word. On your site, they can be worth more than that. The right image in the right place can convey more about your business than words can achieve. Lowlande offers digital photography and custom creation of images for your site, such as a inset images or formatted product photos.

 

Hosting

Hosting for your site starts at $175 per year for most sites, includes a private IP address, web site statistics, 10 GB of space and 200 GB of bandwidth. All hosting packages are shared hosting with guaranteed bandwidth.

ListManager Software for Joomla - Set up and configuration of a newsletter that is integrated into your Joomla! website so that you can send newletters directly from your site and manage your site all from the same control panel. Newsletters are professionally laid out with an email template that matches your site. Your newsletter subscribers can subscribe and unsubscribe directly from your site, and you can manually edit the subscriber list. Constant Contact templates - Utilize the popular do-it-your-self email service Constant Contact with a professional looking and professionally made email template. For an additional hourly fee, Lowlande will update your subscriber list and send out the newsletter for you. Constant Contact formatted email template - $150.

Forms

Add a form to your site and start collecting information about your visitors. Possible uses include contact forms, order forms, questionnaires, surveys, autoresponders, etc. A basic form with ten fields that emails the result to the sender and the site owner starts at $150.

Photo Gallery

Add photos and manage photos on your site. Starts at $250.
Calendar

Need to manage events on your site? Add a custom-configured calendar for $250.

Content
